People often believe that the feminist movement is one that is out to get men; they believe that by being pro-woman, you must automatically be anti-man. Why is this?
Although this podcast does not speak for all feminists, the host, Kelley Fox, aims to speak to men about the ways that the expectations of their own gender have not only been toxic to those who are victims to crimes often fueled by masculinity, but also how those expectations are toxic to the men themselves. Why are these characteristics labeled as men, and why is it that often violence is perpetrated by men?
The podcast aims to look at documentaries on various societal issues and have a conversation on Masculinity and why it something men need to be freed from.
The original podcast (first two episodes) was created for a Rhetorical Theory Class at Ohio Northern University and may have a different format then following episodes.
